Singapore’s Ultimate Hawker Fest [终极街头美食节] is back for the third year! It’s all about celebrating Singapore’s unique hawker heritage, as part of Singapore’s Jubilee (SG50) celebrations while raising funds for the needy and disadvantaged. All profits from the event will go to more than 32,000 beneficiaries of Touch Community Services, regardless of race and religion.
Fellow food bloggers Maureen (misstamchiak), Derrick (sgfoodonfoot) and Ian (theSilverChef) had handpicked and brought together more than 20 chefs and hawkers to create the Ultimate menu for the fest.

This year, the event will feature three food zones:
Ultimate Original Recipe
Celebrates the heritage of pioneer generation hawkers through stalls helmed by chefs from the second, third and fourth generations of famous hawkers such as Rong Cheng Bak Kut Teh, Lek Lim Nonya Cake Confectionery and Chey Sua Carrot Cake. In addition, Crocodile King by Tony Tee will also be making a comeback with its nutritious crocodile soup, only available at the fest.
Ultimate Pursuit of Happiness
Celebrates the enterprising spirit of budding chefs who left their jobs to pursue their dreams in the culinary world such as Douglas Ng of Fish Ball Story & Gerald and Julyn of Penang Kia.
Ultimate Ingredients
And of course, not forgetting the hawkers who have added that ULTIMATE special ingredients to conventional hawker fares to create dishes that are truly unrivalled in the hawker scene. I’m sure most of you are not unfamiliar with Tian Tian Chicken Rice, The Prata Place, Mr Bean, Geng Shu Mei Shi Shi Jia, King Roast or Centre Satay Bee Hoon.
Celebrity chefs Eric Neo (Intercontinental Hotel), Tan Yong Hua (Restaurant HOME), Melvin Lim (Ramada and Days Hotels Singapore) and Shen Tan will also be cooking up local dishes such as otah, roast duck rice and nasi lemak.
