I’m absolutely excited to be baking again! Making a storm in the kitchen and messing things up is always so enjoyable, haha. So what do we have in store today? Nutella Banana Muffins!
Nutella is my all-time favourite brand for chocolate-hazelnut spread since I was a kid. Goes so well with sandwich bread, croissants, biscuits, crostini sticks, pretzels and whatever munchies you can think of.
Sometimes when I have a chocolate craving and I need something quick, I will just stick my finger into a jar of Nutella and lick that off. Such a comforting treat.
Besides enjoying Nutella as is, you can also make use of it as a baking ingredient to jazz up your muffins, cupcakes, cookies and danishes.
And today, I will be sharing with you guys how I use the spread in my Banana Muffins Recipe.
After I poured the batter into the muffin cups, I gently dropped in 1 teaspoon of the chocolate-hazelnut spread in each cup and stirred around with a toothpick while keeping close to the surface top. Hence these muffins turned out to be more like banana muffins with chocolatey tops. I made them this way so we could savour both the banana and Nutella flavours without having either one overpowering the other.
If you like, you can add more Nutella to the batter and stir it in thoroughly so you get this intense chocolatey flavour. Perfect for the chocolate lovers. 😉
