Good morning sunshine! ☀☀☀
The husband and I went for a walk at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park as I wanted to feed the fishes. When we were done, we decided to go the opposite direction towards Upper Thomson Road so we could deviate from our usual route just for a change. I was glad we did that otherwise we wouldn’t have discovered that the Lower Peirce Reservoir Park was just on the opposite side of the road. The two of us used to frequent the roti prata place at Casuarina Road but we had never come by the reservoir park that’s only a stone’s throw away so finally we had the chance to.
We were awed by the beautiful scenery of the reservoir. Perhaps because the weather was good and we came at the right time of the day so although the sun was scorching hot, the waters were glistening like diamonds.
And we welcomed the gentle breezes that kept the air cool.
Truly amazing view. If there could be any more relaxing moment, this was it.
Monkeys having a feast of leftovers thrown away by picnickers. Come on peeps, throw away your rubbish when you’re done with your food! Tsk tsk tsk.
It was such a coincidence to meet this uncle again because we saw him catching small fishes at Bishan Park earlier. Seemed like he needed those small fry as bait to catch bigger ones here.
For info, the area in red is the designated fishing zone for this reservoir so for those interested in fishing, you now know where to go.
This was the walking trail that we went on.
A 900m wooden boardwalk along the water edge and through the forest that didn’t take long to complete. Absolutely therapeutic to be in such a serene surrounding.
If you are looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life, it’s worth checking out this reservoir park. Perhaps have a day out and bring your family here for a picnic on the weekend. 😉
