I meant to make this a Chinese dish but ended up serving it like Western food, lol because I didn’t fancy steamed rice to go with the chicken. I served the chicken with sweet potato mash instead that was easy to prepare and required no extra flavouring since sweet potato was already good on its own The saltiness from the light soy sauce & savouriness from the oyster sauce in the marinate balanced the sweetness of the honey and the sweet potato so overall, this didn’t end up too saccharine or cloying. I would highly recommend using chicken leg or thigh as a breast cut might end up dry in the oven. Enjoy this Honey Sesame Chicken Recipe!
