The club sandwich is one of my all-time favourite sandwiches because they are huge and thick with plenty of ingredients so you get to taste different flavours and textures all at once. From the tender chicken breast, crispy bacon, smoky pepperoni to the savoury cheese, sweet tomatoes and crunchy lettuce – everything just come together so perfectly. Hmm, yum.
This is how I assembled my club sandwich:
The perfect movie night dinner. A scrumptious sandwich with plenty of ingredients, served with a bowl of hot and spicy chips (Chipster brand!). Doesn’t look like a very healthy meal eh, haha. Good thing is, all these ingredients are pretty much substitutable. For healthier options, you may want to go for multigrain bread (I use Gardenia Low GI Nutri Multi-Grain Loaf), lean turkey bacon, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, etc and of course skip the mayonnaise and chips. Unlimited possibilities. 😉
There is no need for me to specify any portions or detailed directions because a club sandwich is all about what you like and how you like it to be. So just build your club and eat it! Fuss free =)
To prevent your ‘super tall’ club sandwich from collapsing in case you’re too generous with the fillings, do use a skewer stick to secure it. And before you take a bite, just squeeze everything down so it can fit into your mouth. 😆
Enjoy your club! 🙂
