This Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng is something that I deeply miss and constantly crave for after every trip to Penang. I’m not kidding but ever since trying their mee goreng, I’ve not been able to enjoy a regular plate of mee goreng back home in Singapore. Because there’s nothing quite like Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng, lol!
Former location was at Lorong Bangkok
When I first visited them many years ago, they were still located at Seng Lee Coffee Shop at Lorong Bangkok.
Moved to New World Park Food City
Last year, they had moved to New World Park Food City. The stall is still managed by the same father-son duo.
Mee Rebus Sotong Telur
This mee rebus was really awesome. The sauce was perfectly balanced – very delicious. A little similar to Indian rojak sauce but not as starchy or nutty. There were fish cakes, fritters, tofu, potatoes, cuttlefish and egg in this.
Mee Goreng Tambah Sotong
The char kway teow version of mee goreng! This had so much wok hei flavour! Really beautifully fried.
Lots of ingredients in it such as cuttlefish, tofu, potatoes and eggs. Everything was nicely tossed up. So moreish and delicious!
