Cheesy Baked Mussels Recipe

Frozen Mussels Are Perfect For This Recipe

Bought frozen half shell cooked green mussels for this dish – for convenience sake. Purposely chose those plump and meaty ones. One good reason to use these frozen mussels is that they do not shrink as easily as live ones.

Well, if you’re using live mussels, remember to scrub them first under running tap water and remove their beards if any. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the mussels in. Put on the lid and boil for about 3-4 minutes or till the mussel shells open. Discard those with closed shells.

Cheesy Baked Mussels Recipe

These mussels are creamy with a cheesy crust on top. And if you can’t quite stand the somewhat fishy flavour of shellfish, a touch of lime juice will give it a lovely citrusy scent.

Enjoy these cheesy baked mussels and have a wonderful Friday and fabulous weekend ahead!
